How Do I Know that You Don't Secretly Work For the Other Guy?

As mediators we follow a set of rules / ethical guidelines. We are required to follow these rules.

One of the most important guidelines that every mediator must follow is to be a non-biased participant. That means we are a 3rd party actor in this arrangement. Mediators don't favor one side or the other. We don't take sides.

Our primary goal as a mediator is to help parties that are struggling with a problem/s come to a solution. If we can help the parties find a solution to their problem, we memorialize it in a written agreement.
